Privacy

Last updated October 2026.

Glasgow Loop is a simple website with no user accounts or logins. This page explains what personal data we handle, why, and what your rights are under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).

Who is responsible

Glasgow Loop is run by Claudio Fransson, an individual based in Sweden (see about). Claudio Fransson is the data controller: the controller decides how the data described here is used, and is the contact for anything on this page: hello@glasgowloop.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard logs (such as IP address and browser type) so the site can be delivered securely and reliably. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: keeping the site working and protecting it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

If you email us or use the contact form. We use your email address and message only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your details. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering you); we keep correspondence only as long as we need it to deal with your request.

Choices stored in your browser. Your browser's local storage may hold preferences such as light or dark mode. These stay on your device and are not sent to us.

Analytics and advertising

At the moment this site uses no analytics and shows no advertising, and it sets no analytics or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent before anything is set, make refusing as easy as accepting, and update this page and the cookies page first.

Where data goes

Our hosting and email providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK's approved transfer mechanisms.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, erase it, restrict how we use it, or stop using it for legitimate interests, and you can ask for it in a portable format. Email hello@glasgowloop.co.uk and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes

If what we collect changes beyond what is described here, this page and the cookies page will be updated first.
